Job overview

We have an exciting opportunity for experienced Audiologists looking to develop their careers.

We have full or part time posts available and the successful post holder will work within the team environment at the Royal Hospital and surrounding North Derbyshire clinics. 

At interview applicants should be able to discuss their interest in one of the following areas: 

·                      Support and management for patients with severe to profound hearing loss 

·                     Support and management for patients with tinnitus

·                     Support and management for non-routine hearing aid patients

Main duties of the job

The successful candidates will assist in the provision and advancement of Audiological services as well as providing diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology across North Derbyshire.

Applicants must possess a BSc in Audiology or equivalent.

Experience of working within a modernised NHS hearing aid service is essential.
Previous experience at Band 6 level and evidence of management and leadership skills are desirable but not essential.

Chesterfield Royal Hospital is located in Calow, Chesterfield, which is situated on a green field site on the edge of the Peak District National Park. It is home to the Crooked Spire and is also close to Sheffield, Derby and Nottingham, thus offering numerous choices for recreational activities and lifestyles.

 

Chesterfield Royal Hospital was officially opened by the late queen in 1985 and since then it has continued to expand and modernise, currently holding approximately 550 beds. We provide acute in-patient and out-patient care for Chesterfield and the surrounding rural area of North Derbyshire, serving a population of approximately 350,000 people.
