Job overview
We have an exciting opportunity for either:
an Audiologist looking to consolidate their experience following graduation or returning to Audiology
or someone familiar with the private hearing aid sector who wishes to gain experience within a hospital setting.
Our friendly Audiology team is based at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The historic market town of Chesterfield is situated on the edge of the Peak District with excellent links to the City of Sheffield only 12 miles away.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidates will assist in the provision of audiology services providing diagnostic support to the ENT department and comprehensive community rehabilitative services across North Derbyshire.
As a band 4 you would be able to register with the HCPC, as a band 5 you would possess a BSc (Hons) in Audiology or equivalent.

Skills & Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Good organisational/ time management skills
- Holds full driving licence (or working towards this)

- Evidence of post basic training
- Evidence of advanced audiology practice
Experience
Essential criteria
- Clinical audiology experience
Desirable criteria
- Clinical experience as a band 5 audiologist
- Clinical audiology experience within the NHS
Qualifications & Training
Essential criteria
- BSc (Hons) Audiology or equivalent
- Able to register for AHCS or equivalent
Desirable criteria
- For those applicants with BAA part 1 and 2, HNC/HND
