Audiologist

Band 4 or 5

Job overview

We have an exciting opportunity for either:

an Audiologist looking to consolidate their experience following graduation or returning to Audiology

or someone familiar with the private hearing aid sector who wishes to gain experience within a hospital setting.

Our friendly Audiology team is based at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The historic market town of Chesterfield is situated on the edge of the Peak District with excellent links to the City of Sheffield only 12 miles away.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidates will assist in the provision of audiology services providing diagnostic support to the ENT department and comprehensive community rehabilitative services across North Derbyshire.

As a band 4 you would be able to register with the HCPC, as a band 5 you would possess a BSc (Hons) in Audiology or equivalent.

We are a progressive team and encourage personal development, providing training as required.

Working for our organisation

Chesterfield Royal Hospital is located in Calow, Chesterfield, which is situated on a green field site on the edge of the Peak District National Park. It is home to the Crooked Spire and is also close to Sheffield, Derby and Nottingham, thus offering numerous choices for recreational activities and lifestyles.

Chesterfield Royal Hospital was officially opened by the late queen in 1985 and since then it has continued to expand and modernise, currently holding approximately 550 beds. We provide acute in-patient and out-patient care for Chesterfield and the surrounding rural area of North Derbyshire, serving a population of approximately 350,000 people.
