Our current highly respected Director of Midwifery is retiring later this year, and we will be appointing somebody able to shape their own agenda, work with the team and wider Trust and partners and achieve great things. Do you think you could take on the challenge? Make the role your own? Take us further on our journey?

As an organisation recently receiving a CQC rating of GOOD for maternity services, you’ll be able to build on this positive foundation. We believe that exceptional maternity care isn’t about hitting the target but missing the point – and we’re prepared to listen and act on you and your team’s guidance. At #TeamCRH your voice matters. Through strong professional leadership, with the highest level of emotional intelligence and communication skills, you will empower colleagues to develop best practice in line with Saving Babies Lives, Ockenden actions and the Maternity Incentive Scheme. Main duties of the job

As the Director of Midwifery, you will demonstrate strategic leadership and professional accountability to support the implementation of service improvement strategies to improve quality, experience, safety, and efficiency for women and their families.

Through highly visible leadership, you will work with your fellow professions in showing kindness, dignity, respect and care for our colleagues, women/childbearing people and families, ensuring the Trust is the hospital of choice and enhancing a culture within the Trust which builds on our values.

An onsite visit with our current Director of Midwifery is essential as part of the interview process to ensure that our values are aligned with yours. Please contact Rebecca Hendy on 01246 513151or by email at [email protected]  to arrange an onsite visit with our Director of Midwifery and to have a discussion with our Chief Nurse.
