We are looking for enthusiastic candidates to join our Domestic Services Team at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
The Domestic Services Department provides a cleaning service to wards, departments and communal areas, playing a vital role in support of the above by maintaining a pleasant, hygienic, and comfortable environment for patients via the provision of high-quality domestic services.
7:30 to 15:30 working 4 days a week (24 hours per week).
The rota will be based on a 24 hour a week contract working on a rota basis which will include some weekends and bank holidays.

Qualifications and Training
Essential criteria
- • To be able to read and understand to the required standard
Desirable criteria
- • Basic education to include Maths and English
- • Basic knowledge of Health and Safety and COSHH regulations
Experience
Essential criteria
- • Understanding the importance of confidentiality
Desirable criteria
- • Experience of working in a hospital environment
- • Previous experience in a similar environment
Skills and Knowledge
Essential criteria
- • Good communication skills both written and verbal
- • Ability to carry out instructions accurately
Desirable criteria
- • Able to undertake the physical aspects of the post
- • Basic IT skills

Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
