Job overview

The Procurement Department within DSFS are looking to recruit a full-time (37.5 hours) Buying Support Officer to join the team to deliver high quality value for money procurement services on behalf of Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and external clients.

Main duties of the job

  • The main purpose of the post is to provide procurement support across The Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and any other stakeholder organisations.
  • This role will be to assist the Procurement Team in the day to day effective operation of the service. Tasks include updating and maintaining procurement systems including the Procurement Catalogues, Unit 4 (Agresso) integration, Contracts Database and Stock Management systems.
  • Liaising with the Procurement Team, Customers and Suppliers around issues and queries to ensure an effective and cost efficient service is delivered, ensuring a first class customer service is maintained at all times.

Qualifications and Training

Essential criteria
  • 4 GCSE’s or equivalent, including Maths and English.
Desirable criteria
  • ECDL or equivalent qualification

Experience

Essential criteria
  • IT Literate with demonstrable experience working with a number of IT systems
  • Database Data Entry
  • Advanced Excel user – data sorts, lookups, compare, pivot tables
Desirable criteria
  • Agresso use or equivalent E-Procurement System experience
  • Stock management knowledge
