An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate, experienced and motivated Registered Nurse to take on a permanant role of a  Sister/Charge Nurse post on Ward 410 (Acute Stroke Unit) at the Royal Derby Hospital, The University Hospitals of Derby and Burton.

Ward 410 is a high performing, forward thinking acute ward with a supportive senior nurses who are keen to strengthen the team with this appointment. You will be expected to uphold and ensure that high standards of care and professionalism are maintained at all times and be able to support the care delivery on a day to day basis. We operate a 24hr thrombolysis service for acute stroke patients within a wide catchment area.

In return we offer excellent opportunities to support you to develop your leadership and clinical skills.

We require a strong and visible leader to support the Senior Sister with the running of the ward, striving towards continued excellence of care for acutely unwell stoke patients.

You will need to have excellent clinical skills, knowledge and communication abilities with exemplary standards of care. You will be a role model for the team and will motivate and inspire others to be the very best they can be.
