Job overview

We’re currently recruiting for Security Officers to join our Bank.  You’ll work on a zero hour contract, giving you the flexibility over how and where you choose to work.

We’re looking for individuals that are able to deal with a variety of challenges and work effectively to maintain appropriate level of security with a view to protecting people, the property, and preventing and detecting crime for University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust.

Security officers may be required to work across all five sites this includes, Royal Derby Hospital, London Road Community Hospital, Queen Hospital Burton, Sir Robert Peel Community Hospital and Samuel Johnson Community Hospital .

Zero hours per week - As and When Required Working Arrangements

Main duties of the job

The role can be physically and emotional demanding as you will work as part of a small team who oversee all clinical and non-clinical areas of the site to maintain a secure environment.

Key requirements of the role:

  • Have previous experience in a security role,
  • Must have good communication skills and be able to receive and deal with routine confidential information,
  • Must have good interpersonal skills,
  • Able to remain calm and deal with aggressive behavior,
  • Must be able to work in and outside the hospital
  • Good Standard of Numeracy and Literacy
