Here’s more about the role and what we’re looking for;

Job overview

We are looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic pharmacist to join our well respected and supportive dedicated Pharmacy Clinical Trials team. Our team is responsible for all pharmacy aspects of clinical trials involving Investigational Medicinal Products (CTIMPs) across the Trust..

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust (UHDB) is a research active Trust, with trials conducted in many specialities. At present, the main trial activity involving IMP is conducted at both the Royal Derby Hospital and Queens Hospital Burton sites, and we continue to support further trial expansion within UHDB sites as required.

The Pharmacy clinical trials team is embedded into the Research & Development (R&D) department and seamlessly works together with the other research teams vital for CTIMPs to be set up & managed.  You will also be interacting with a variety of staff within the Trust including members of the pharmacy department and clinicians, as well as trial sponsors and their representatives and our patients.

Now is an exciting time to join the team as we continue to assess and adapt to the differing trial requirements across sites as the research activity continues to grow across the Trust. As a team we pride ourselves in providing an excellent, efficient, and responsive service and if you believe you have the skills and experience necessary to fulfil this role, we look forward to hearing from you.
