This is an exciting role, working in a fast paced working environment within a well-established, multi-disciplinary team. As a service we are looking for individuals who are genuinely warm and engaging and focussed on client / customer satisfaction.           

We are looking for a full time Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our team.

Main duties of the job

As an Occupational Therapist in the team, you will support patients who would benefit from occupational therapy intervention.

  • You will play a key role in delivering holistic, person-centred assessments and therapeutic interventions.
  • You will have a knowledge of the CMHF
  • This will include offering clinical advice on the assessment and intervention of clients' occupational and functional needs.
  • You will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team. 
  • You will embrace the delivery of best practice guidelines for Mental Health and Occupational Therapy.
  • You will need to be a dynamic clinician with good interpersonal skills to enable engagement of service users and their families or carers.
  • You will be able to make complex decisions, formulate detailed assessments and person-centred care plans to assist treatment during inpatient admissions. 
  • Supporting students during their placement.
  • Supervision of junior staff including Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants. 
  • Professional development, learning, supervision, wider support and training is provided.
