Job overview

We have an exciting opportunity to lead the multi-disciplinary Team in providing Therapy Services to Brixham hospital ward to patients to promote faster recovery from illness, support timely discharge and maximise independent living

Main duties of the job

The main duties of this job is to make a difference by helping and assisting patients through recovery and returning back to health and independence through rehabilitation.

The majority of the work will be completed within the unit environment, however, may include working within the community on occasions. This will include occasional weekend & bank holiday working.

On a daily basis you will supervise the MDT staff on the ward and provide clinical physio input on the ward on a daily basis

Essential criteria
  • Physiotherapy degree
  • HCPC registration
  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Leadership experience within a health or social care setting
  • Additional specialist training and qualification to post graduate diploma or equivalent in a relevant subject

Knowledge and experience

  • Good understanding of aims and priorities of community hospital therapy.
  • Significant clinical knowledge in area of own profession
  • Proven ability of complex case management
  • Extensive experience as a senior clinician/practitioner
  • Evidence of effective staff and resource management
  • Evidence of multi- disciplinary team working across agencies
