Job overview

South Western Ambulance is embarking on a digital innovation programme which aims to utilise modern innovative technology solutions to transform the organisation into a digital leader within emergency and urgent healthcare.

A Digital Innovation Business Analyst will have overall responsibility for the delivery of a variety of analytical work packages in support of the Trust’s digital innovation programme.  They will be responsible for gathering, interpreting, analysing, developing, and delivering specific projects related documentation and activities in support of business change.

This is a specialist role which requires experience and knowledge of business process modelling and improvement, data analysis and visualisation, digital technologies, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge of digital transformation strategies.

The post holder will be responsible to the Innovation Architect.

Main duties of the job

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels with both internal and external stakeholders, partners, and suppliers, leveraging these relationships to establish agree desired outcomes, acting as a liaison between the business and technology teams, communicating effectively to ensure there is understanding and buy-in for digital initiatives.
  • Gather and document business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and research.  Work with technology and development teams to design and implement digital solutions defining key performance indicators to measure the success of digital initiatives.
  • Assist with the development of business cases, feasibility studies and proof of concepts for proposed solutions ensuring they align to business requirements and needs.
  • Analyse and document existing business processes to identify opportunities for improvement utilising digital transformation.
  • Co-ordinate with cross functional teams to ensure project alignment and success delivery of business change.  Work with Programme and Project Managers to plan and track digital innovation projects ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
