Transplant Coordinator - Haematology
NHS AfC: Band 6
Trosolwg o'r swydd
Responsible for co-ordinating and liaising with the Southwest Peninsula teams to ensure regional stem cell transplants runs safely and efficiently.
To provide clinical expertise and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
***Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as ‘Priority’ and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification***

Specialist role specifically relating to patients requiring bone marrow/stem cell transplants.
Specialist nurse across the region ensuring consistent quality care for patients throughout the south-west.
To be responsible for coordinating, planning and implementing expert nursing care providing support pre, peri and post the transplant period.
To provide support and counselling for patients, their families and their donors.
To be an expert resource and facilitator to educate and train other health care professionals.
Co-ordinates data collection across SW region for European database concerning all transplants in the area

Qualifications

- Registered Nurse
- Diploma in Nursing or Health Related Studies or equivalent demonstrable experience

- Degree in Health related subject
- Mentorship Course
- Leadership qualification or the willingness to undertake
- Specific post basic qualification / or equivalent experience relevant to the area of clinical practice.
