Extended Scope Physiotherapist

University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Trust is looking for an experienced, dynamic and enthusiastic Band 7 Physiotherapist to join as a split post between our Orthopaedic Team as a Shoulder and Elbow Extended Scope Practitioner (0.5WTE) and MSK Team Lead Physiotherapist (0.5WTE) within the outpatient physiotherapy team. The postholder will work with the existing consultant workforce providing parallel and standalone shoulder & elbow clinics, administration time and have the consultant support. The physiotherapy MSK outpatient service for Plymouth and South Hams (Kingsbridge and Tavistock) is hosted by the acute trust but provides the service at various locations across the Plymouth and South Hams region. This post is currently based 0.5WTE static within Orthopaedic department and 0.5WTE within the Outpatient department at Derriford Hospital and rotates through peripheral clinics.

The successful candidate will join a well-established team to support, deliver, develop and promote this service across the local Healthcare Community. Knowledge and Experience

  • Extensive demonstrable post graduate experience across all specialities.
  • Previous demonstrable experience at a Senior level within field of outpatient care, dealing with broad / complex caseload.
  • Extensive post graduate demonstrable experience of skill within the Orthopaedic shoulder & elbow service across all specialities. Previous experience working at a senior level within field of MSK outpatient care, with broad / complex caseload.
  • Proven evidence of leadership and team working abilities

  • Proven evidence of involvement with research.
  • Proven evidence of specific post graduate shoulder & elbow courses.

Qualifications

  • Degree (BSc Hons Physiotherapy) or equivalent.
  • HCPC registration.

  • M.Sc. in the relevant area.
  • Service improvement qualification.
  • Healthcare Leadership qualification.
