Trust Transplant Doctor StR Lower
NHS Medical & Dental: Trust Registrar
Trosolwg o'r swydd
We are looking to appoint a Trust Specialty Doctor in Transplantation, to support the renal transplantation programme. The post has the potential for flexibly fulfilling the educational, research and experience needs of the successful applicant. This post is especially suited to training in kidney transplantation and research.
There are plans for linking this post to the equivalent vascular surgery post so that occupants of both posts could cross cover or cross rotate as the case may be. This is innovative as it gives the fellows a better experience, less continuous on call activity and a wider clinical spectrum. This post is for a fixed term, initially for six months, which is extendable with satisfactory progress.
Job Specific Information
The Southwest Transplant Centre (SWTC) is within the Nephrology and Transplantation Service Line, Medical Specialties Care Group. The Director of SWTC is Dr Imran Saif, the Service Line Lead is Dr Wai Tse, and the Surgical Lead Clinician is Mr Aditya Kanwar. All Consultants meet on a monthly basis for a Directorate meeting to which other senior members are invited.
The terms and conditions of the post follow the specialist registrar grade, with the exception of study leave as outlined in section 3.5. The salary scale is within the Specialist Registrar salary scale. The post is a fixed term post for 12 months initially, but with the opportunity of extending contract for a further year.
