This role is suited to an autonomous clinician that has undertaken a master’s in advanced clinical practice (or equivalent) who has additional qualifications in minor illness and advanced clinical assessment. This is a unique opportunity to make a difference to patients requiring urgent care during the Out of Hours period.

We operate an Integrated Urgent Care across Hertfordshire, West Essex, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Somerset providing the 111, Clinical Assessment Service and Out of Hours GP service within those localities

Main duties of the job

Telephone Consultations – Provide expert medical advice and triage over the phone as part of our Integrated Urgent Care Clinical Assessment Service either remotely, from a Treatment Centre or from one of our Contact Centres in Welwyn Garden City, Bedford, or Peterborough.

Face-to-Face Consultations - Conduct consultations at an Out of Hours Treatment Centre

Home Visits – Deliver consultations for patients in their own residence for those who are unable to attend an Out of Hours Treatment Centre

Collaborative Care - Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, including GPs, Advanced Nurse/Clinical Practitioners, Urgent Care Practitioners, and Prescribing Pharmacists both remotely and in person.
