NHS Medical & Dental: Specialty Trainee (ST3-5)

Job overview

The successful candidate would be working at ST3+ / registrar level within the Department of General Surgery with an interest in Colorectal & Upper GI Surgery. The post would offer regular outpatient clinics, theatre sessions and registrar on-call duties (1 in 10). Endoscopy training is available to interested trainees.

Main duties of the job

Weekly timetable would include on average 2-3 theatre sessions, 1-2 outpatient clinic sessions and 2 optional research sessions. Although based with the colorectal & upper GI teams, a degree of cross cover within general surgery and vascular is expected – offering the trainee a broader experience.
