Accreditation and Information Manager

NHS AfC: Band 5

Job overview

Due to the expanding services within Endoscopy and Gastroenterology a new opportunity has arisen for an Accreditation and Information Manager.

In 2023 a new £5m Endoscopy Suite opened, with dedicated training facilities, this has increased the capacity within Endoscopy, and allowed the department to recover its waiting lists.

The role will lead and maintain accreditation requirements for Gastroenterology. The department aims to be accredited for Endoscopy (JAG) and Liver (IQUILs) services.

As well as leading on the accreditation requirements, the successful candidate will also provide a suite of reports, key performance indicators and activity information to support decision-making within Gastroenterology and support continuous improvement of the service.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the role are:

  • The successful candidate will manage the annual accreditation submissions for Endoscopy (JAG) and Liver (IQUILs) services.
  • Establish and maintain a Quality Management System for Gastroenterology.
  • Maintain and develop a suite of reports including HR, finance, and activity and performance reports to enable swift decision-making within the department.
  • Manage and maintain the roster for the Endoscopy Unit, six weeks in advance.

Working for our organisation

Gastroenterology and Endoscopy have seen significant investment over the last 12 months, with the introduction of the Bowel Cancer Screening Age Extension Programme, as well as the opening of the new £5m Endoscopy Suite.

As we continue to improve our services for our patients, we are looking for a successful candidate who will help us go further for our patients.
