Therefore, knowledge in these areas would also be beneficial. GIA employs a trauma-informed approach for those who access our services but also assumes that all of us have potentially experienced trauma and therefore key principles should be applied throughout our daily work.

Main duties of the job

The principal purpose of the job is to improve the psychological health & wellbeing of people referred with a coexisting and identified drug/alcohol problem, and move them through a treatment leading to sustainable recovery from all substances of misuse.

Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust (TSDFT) have an exciting opportunity as a Recovery Coordinator within the Torbay Drug and Alcohol Service.

This role will be based at Shrublands House in Torquay supporting a partnership approach to working between Devon Partnership Trust and TSDFT. The service is part of a  Multiple Complex Needs Alliance with Torbay Domestic Abuse services and with the local Homelessness Hostel.
