Job overview
As an Advanced Nurse/Clinical Practitioner (ANP/ACP) with HUC, you'll assess all patients and provide the right management or referral. You'll be reliable, dependable, passionate, and committed to delivering high-quality care.
This role is suited to an autonomous clinician that has undertaken a master’s in advanced clinical practice (or equivalent) who has additional qualifications in minor illness and advanced clinical assessment. This is a unique opportunity to make a difference to patients requiring urgent care during the Out of Hours period.
We operate an Integrated Urgent Care across Hertfordshire, West Essex, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Somerset providing the 111, Clinical Assessment Service and Out of Hours GP service within those localities
Main duties of the job
Telephone Consultations – Provide expert medical advice and triage over the phone as part of our Integrated Urgent Care Clinical Assessment Service either remotely, from a Treatment Centre or from one of our Contact Centres in Welwyn Garden City, Bedford, or Peterborough.
Face-to-Face Consultations - Conduct consultations at an Out of Hours Treatment Centre
Home Visits – Deliver consultations for patients in their own residence for those who are unable to attend an Out of Hours Treatment Centre
Collaborative Care - Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, including GPs, Advanced Nurse/Clinical Practitioners, Urgent Care Practitioners, and Prescribing Pharmacists both remotely and in person.

Essesntial
Essential criteria
- NMC Registered adult/ dual trainned Nurse
- Experience of working in Emergency Department/ Urgent Treatment Centre/ GP Practice/ Out of Hours service
- Triage/streaming experience
- Evidence of working with a variety of patients requiring triaging assessment and treatment (minimum of 1 year experience)
- MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent credentialing
Applicant requirements
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
