Job overview
Due to the expansion within the Patient Pathway Coordination team within Trauma and Orthopaedics at University Hospitals Dorset, an opportunity has arisen for an Referral to Treatment Validation Officer to join our Team!
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual who can work autonomously and as part of team.
Good communication skills are a must and the individual most work well within a team.
Base Location: Royal Bournemouth or Poole Hospital

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Educated to GSCE or equivalent, including numerate subject.
Desirable criteria
- Higher qualification eg. Diploma, HND.
Experience
Essential criteria
- Candidate must be able to read diagnostic reports/ Consultant letters and judge if 18 week clock is affected by the admission or consultation.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office particularly Word, Excel, E mail, and Internet
- Able to prioritise, with the ability to plan own workload to meet tight deadlines
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail required
Technical Skills/Competencies
Essential criteria
- Excel, Microsoft Office, E-mail, File Management.
- Hospital systems, E-Camis, PMS
Desirable criteria
- Previous experience or interest in IT
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Knowledge of confidentiality and data protection principles
- Basic Understanding of 18 weeks Referral to Treatment Target.
- Knowledge of NHS priorities
Language Requirment
Essential criteria
- Be able to speak English as necessary to undertake the role
