Deputy Team Lead - Registered Nurse

Band 6 - Full Time (37.5hrs)  

Are you a highly motivated individual or looking for your next opportunity as a Deputy Team Lead to support the Acute Hospital at Home Service? We may have what you are looking for.  Acute Hospital at Home: An award-winning service, caring for patients in their normal residences with a wide range of conditions, medical & surgical. Car Driver essential.

You will. . .

  • Provide support to the Team Lead and the service, utilising your leadership skills to progress the day to day running of the service.
  • Proactively manage the business of the service with the Team Lead.
  • Be confident and competent in the management of patients undergoing a wide range of treatments.
  • Be able to support and teach those with less experience across the shift pattern system. There are no night shifts on this service currently. The Twilight shift finishes at midnight and the service reopens at 7.30am, seven days a week.

You have. . . 

  • Developed nursing skills and can support a team of multi-disciplinary staff with an ability to identify risk as part of a day-to-day management of the service
  • Good communication skills and can engage with the multidisciplinary team effectively
  • The ability to use your own initiative and make informed decisions and advocate effectively for patients and their carers.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

An exciting development opportunity is available to those who wish to gain both clinical and managerial experience. The successful candidates will work in conjunction with the Team Lead and the wider multi-disciplinary team, with a particular emphasis on managing patients in their normal residence and supporting the service.

Applications are invited from Registered Nurses with a minimum of 3 years previous experience in acute and community care being essential. The successful applicant will need to have a proven ability and experience in recognising and managing risk within the working environment. An understanding of patient flow and escalation processes is also an integral part of the role.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate knowledge of leadership and management skills whilst also being a professional role model upholding Trust and Core Nursing standards.
