The Orchards is a nine bedded recovery unit for people with longer term mental health problems. It is situated near the picturesque cathedral city of Ripon. It is only 45 minutes from Leeds and York.
We aim to help people to manage and recover from mental health problems. We will encourage service users to take part in social activities and therapeutic groups to help them to learn daily living skills.
The purpose of our service is to service users gain greater independence and follow a healthy lifestyle, in order to achieve a good quality of life within the community.
The unit has nine en-suite bedrooms. We aim to create a relaxed, homely and informal atmosphere.
The unit is staffed twenty four hours a day by nursing staff. There is always a qualified nurse on duty.
We are looking for a Band 5 nurse with an interest in recovery to work within a rehab/recovery ward.
