Job overview
Applications are invited for the position of Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist working into the eating disorders community team that supports service users in Durham, Darlington & Teesside.
Main duties of the job
You will manage your own caseload and support B6 & B5 Occupational Therapy staff on site / off site working with a variety of clients presenting with issues arising from their eating disorder.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Masters in Occupational Therapy or related subject (or willingness to undertake within agreed timescale)
- Registration with HCPC
- Clinical Supervisory Skills course
- Trust training in Appraisal and Recruitment (or willingness to undertake within an agreed timescale)
- Trust QIS (Quality Improvement System) for Leaders (or willingness to undertake within agreed timescale)
- Numeracy, Literacy and ITQ level 2 (or equivalent)
Desirable criteria
- Accredited Practice Placement Educator (APPLE)
Experience
Essential criteria
- Post-graduate experience of working in adult mental health / eating disorders
- Experience of supervising students on placement
- Experience of participation in quality improvement activities
- Experience of participation in clinical governance activities
Skills
Essential criteria
- Communicate complex and sensitive information in a manner appropriate to the individual and situation
- Motivate and work positively and constructively with other members of the team.
