North Tees & Hartlepool Solutions provides a range of Estates, Facilities, Supplies and Procurement services to North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust. The company is a separate legal body to North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust. The successful applicant will be an employee of the subsidiary and not the NHS.

North Tees & Hartlepool Solutions offers its own Terms and Conditions of employment which differ from the national NHS Terms and Conditions. As an employee in the company you will benefit from:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join our Catering team on a fixed term part time contract. North Tees and Hartlepool Solutions is seeking to appoint an honest, enthusiastic, hardworking and committed individual, who is able to work in a team and on their own initiative. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, be self motivated and able to work flexibly and without direct supervision. The applicant will be required to assist in the provision of a comprehensive and cost-effective catering service that meets the needs of patients, staff and visitors and fulfills the objectives of the Trust.  This is a demanding post, but a rewarding one,

Main duties of the job

  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in designated work areas within documented cleaning schedules, as well as ad hoc duties as requested by your duty supervisor
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene, kitchen and personal
  • Utensil and crockery processing duties using mechanical dishwasher
  • Operation of heavy duty floor cleaning equipment
  • Demonstrating excellent customer care skills, courtesy and politeness
  • Adhering at all times to all Trust Policies and procedures

  • Previous Catering experience desirable although not essential

Qualifications

  • High level of awareness of food hygiene, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and health and safety principles.
  • Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Health and Safety Training
