Procurement Support Officer

North Tees & Hartlepool Solutions is an NHS owned company of North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust. North Tees & Hartlepool Solutions provides a range of Estates, Facilities, Supplies and Procurement services to North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust. The company is a separate legal body to North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust. The successful applicant will be an employee of the subsidiary and not the NHS.
North Tees & Hartlepool Solutions offers its own Terms and Conditions of employment which differ from the national NHS Terms and Conditions. As an employee in the company you will benefit from:

The post holder is a key interface between Procurement and our customers, managing the timely processing of requisitions for a range of goods and service that offer ‘value for money’ utilising electronic tools, ensuring compliance with Organisational standards and relevant legislation.
We have an excellent opportunity within the Procurement and Supplies team at North Tees and Hartlepool Solutions for the position of Procurement Support Officer. Undertake lead role in processing of requisitions within the e-purchasing system, with a target to eliminating the requirement for Non Catalogue Items
Checking the electronic catalogues within the s-purchasing system are up-to-date
Checking price, as required, by liaising with the appropriate Senior Procurement Officer/Contracts Manager , or by obtaining pricing information directly from the supplier.

Qualifications

- NVQ Level 2/3 in Procurement or Customer Care
- Minimum of 5 GCSE’s at Grade C or above to include English and Maths

- NVQ Level 4 in Procurement
Experience

- Use of computerised ordering systems
- MS Office software applications

- Experience of purchasing environment within NHS or other public sector organisation
- Experience of quotation process
