An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Labour Ward Coordinator on Delivery Suite to lead clinical maternity services here at North Tee’s. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed senior midwife with strong leadership skills to join our team. The role involves having continuing responsibility for the shift management and provision of maternity care within the Delivery Suite, ensuring high safe standards are maintained at all times. Show expertise and leadership in Intrapartum care, continuing to develop and manage practice and actively participate in achieving the Maternity Services and Trust’s objectives.
Main duties of the job
The role involves having continuing responsibility for the shift management and provision of maternity care within the Delivery Suite and across the maternity service, ensuring high safe standards are maintained at all times. Show expertise and leadership in Intrapartum care, continuing to develop and manage practice and actively participate in achieving the Maternity Services and Trust’s objectives. To ensure that safe competent services are provided on a continuous basis with particular focus on leadership and expertise for each shift, communication effectively with the Delivery Suite Matron, Antenatal/Postnatal Matron, MAU Matron, Community Midwifery Matron and Senior Clinical Matron to ensure that resources utilised are effective and efficient, providing strong leadership at all-times. Demonstrate clinical expertise and leadership at all times, through shift responsibility for the management of intrapartum care in Delivery Suite/ Birthing Centre. Provide midwifery expertise, advice, skills, leadership and support at a senior level to all midwives within the Maternity Services.

- Change management experience/Project lead.
- In depth experience in midwifery practise.

Qualifications

- Registered practising Midwife NMC registered
- Degree in Midwifery
- NLS trained or be willing to work towards
