Job overview

Working closely with the Connect Team, the volunteer service and the current chaplaincy volunteers the post holder will be leading on the provision of spiritual and pastoral care for Trust patients, carers and staff within the community. With special responsibility for recruiting, training, managing and supervising spiritual care volunteers within the existing chaplaincy & spiritual care structures within the Trust

Main duties of the job

Supporting and developing a group of Interfaith Chaplains  working in a voluntary capacity across the inpatient facilities within the Trust providing spiritual care to patients and to staff.

Facilitating access to education regarding the Health Care requirements of people associated with faith Groups

To proactively support staff to be able to maintain their spiritual belief requirements and working obligations and to articulate 

To Work Closely with the Job Share Partner to  develop the Spiritual care function in keeping with the published Spiritual Care Strategy
