Psychological therapist ME and HIV
NHS AfC: Band 7
Trosolwg o'r swydd
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a clinical or counselling psychologist or experienced CBT therapist to apply for a full-time Band 7 post within the Community HIV Specialist Service and the ME/Chronic Fatigue Service within the geographical area of Sussex. The post holder will be offering assessment and treatment to individuals with HIV or ME/chronic fatigue syndrome who may have complex life experiences of trauma, mental health conditions or substance use which may affect the management of their health condition. The post holder will also offer reflective practice sessions to specialist nursing and allied health care professionals.
This would be an ideal opportunity for a compassionate and non judgmental individual who is interested in developing their skills in offering psychological support to individuals with HIV and/or ME/chronic fatigue and supporting other colleagues to provide both psychologically informed and trauma informed care.
You would be working closely with our lead psychologist who would offer ongoing support and supervision. You would be working alongside experienced ME practitioners and HIV specialist nurses with an MDT approach to caring for these patients. This is a great opportunity to gain a lot of experience in a very supportive environment.
