We are looking for a motivated individual to work as a Physiotherapy Technical Instructor within our well-established Neurological Therapy team. This role will be focused on providing a high standard of Physiotherapy treatment to our patients, aiding their rehabilitation following a neurological event.
You will have excellent opportunities for your own skills development, this post will start as a permanent Band 2 position and potentially progress to a Band 3 once appropriate competencies have been met. You will work within a strong and supportive MDT and alongside an established peer group of Physiotherapy Support Workers. This exciting position is an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic, forward-looking and innovative team.
You will be joining a strong and supportive Physiotherapy team within the top performing University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. We look forward to welcoming you on an informal visit or discussing any aspect of this exciting opportunity further.

Main duties of the job
- To work as part of the Neurological Physiotherapy Team providing a high quality and comprehensive therapy service to patients.
- To assist the physiotherapists in the assessment and treatment of patients.
- To work effectively in acute, rehabilitation unit and out-patient environments.
- To provide skilled and insightful aid in the rehabilitation of patients.
- To manage a delegated patient caseload as referred by the physiotherapist and treat according to treatment protocols, being able to make alterations when required by assessment of patient progression.
- To work in varied and unsupervised settings, with personal or telephone access to physiotherapist.
- To provide non-clinical services to the neurological team e.g. administrative duties, data inputting, maintaining a safe environment and maintaining equipment.
