Job overview
Jevington Ward is a busy, acute and dynamic 27 bedded Acute Medical Ward that specialises in General Medicine & Rheumatology, The team is both friendly and supportive, with a strong commitment to providing a high standard of care, and we are looking for highly motivated, dynamic and passionate individuals.
Our aim is to maximise and deliver excellent patient care by using all the resources available. To reduce length of hospital stay and maintain patient flow. This is achieved by having a daily multi-disciplinary meeting, to discuss every patient. The Hospital Intervention Team, Social Services, medical teams and the nursing staff, meet to establish the needs of the patient, the management plan and how a safe discharge can be achieved in the timeliest manner.
We pride ourselves on having a friendly and welcoming team. We work very closely with our colleagues from Adult Social Care and Allied Health Professionals – Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists and with our Mental Health Team.
Are you seeking Up To 12 months Fixed Term Contract/Secondment opportunity professional development, you will provide strong leadership, excellent communication skills and the ability to develop and support students and staff with clinical expertise. Experience in some of the acute fields of nursing covered by the ward would be an advantage

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Qualified RGN/RN/RSCN with active NMC Registration
- Educated to degree level supplemented by diploma level specialist training or relevant equivalent training and experience
- Evidence of continued professional development
Desirable criteria
- Diploma Professional practice or working towards this Qualification
- NVQ Assessor Award (D32/33/AI)
Experience
Essential criteria
- Substantial post registration experience at band 5
- Experience of working autonomously and managing a caseload

- Experience of teaching and presentation skills
