Our centre for trauma services and obstetrics is at Conquest Hospital, while our centre for urology and stroke services is at Eastbourne DGH. At Rye, Winchelsea and District Memorial Hospital we offer outpatients, rehabilitation and intermediate services. At Uckfield Community Hospital we provide day surgery and outpatient care.
In the community, we deliver services that focus on people with long term conditions living well outside hospital, through our integrated locality teams working with district and community nursing teams. Community members of staff also provide care to patients in their homes and from a number of clinics, health centres and GP surgeries.
Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 5 Anaesthetic Nurse/ODP with a recognised anaesthetic qualification and current experience to join our team.
Jubilee is a day surgery ophthalmology unit doing a wide variety of different surgeries under local and general anaesthetic on adults and children. You will need to be patient centred, reliable, keen to learn all aspects of work in Jubilee and you must be a good team member.
If you have not had ophthalmology experience before but can work in the anaesthetic room and scrub it will be a pleasure to teach you the nuances of the speciality. In time your role will involve pre-assessment, ward work, anaesthetics, theatre and recovery so a lovely variety of work.
The core hours are 08:00 - 18:00 but there are opportunities to undertake work at the weekend if you choose to do so. Please do come and meet the team and have a look around the department if you are considering applying for the role.

Jubilee Eye Suite is a day case ophthalmology department undertaking a variety of surgeries on adults and children under local and general anaesthetic.
