Calling all newly qualified and Band 5 dietitians!
We are looking for an enthusiastic Band 5 Dietitian to join our friendly team at University Hospitals Sussex. This is a rotational post which includes two sites, the Princess Royal Hospital (PRH) in Haywards Heath and the Royal Sussex County Hospital (RSCH) in Brighton. PRH is a friendly district general and RSCH is a busy new purpose built hospital with several tertiary specialities. They are both part of the wider Teaching Trust.
Rotations include acute medical/surgery/cardiac & respiratory. You would also have one outpatient clinic per week, patient talks and staff training so you would gain fantastic experience.
You would be part of a well-respected team including regional specialities for paediatrics, gastroenterology, oncology, renal, neurology & neurosciences, critical care and trauma in a Teaching Trust.
This is a permanent, on-site, full time position. There is a small amount of flexibility with daily start & finish times. Rotation sites and posts are not decided yet for the new year.
We will accept your application if you are about to qualify in the UK shortly or if you have Band 5 experience and you are looking to develop your skills.
If you are an overseas candidate we politely request you have your full HCPC registration already and are aware we are unable to offer a relocation package.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
To manage a clinical caseload of adult patients by assessing and treating patients/clients with a variety of general, medical, cardiac and surgical problems.
Run a weekly general clinic.
There are talks to patient groups e.g. cardiac rehab, first line IBS
Talks & training to clinical staff e.g. nutrition screening, volunteers talk.
To work as a member of the dietetic team and with other healthcare professionals, nurses, speech therapy, catering, doctors, etc to ensure an efficient, clinically up to date dietetic service is provided.
Be involved in cover of other Acute Dietitians as required.
Manage an autonomous clinical caseload of patients with a variety of clinical complexity. This will include undertaking individual patient consultations at ward level, in out-patients and patient group education sessions such as Cardiac Rehab and delivery of part of the weight management programme.
Rotate between Trust sites.
