We are looking for dynamic and proactive Senior Musculoskeletal (MSK) Clinicians to join our well-established MSK Outpatient teams at Crawley and Horsham Hospitals.

Main duties of the job


You must be a UK registered Physiotherapist or Osteopath to apply, with a broad range of musculoskeletal experience. Recent senior clinical level experience and experience of clinical governance would be advantageous. Applicants should be committed to delivering high quality care and have excellent communications skills. You may be required to work between the clinical sites of Crawley and Horsham Hospitals.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

To assess and treat own caseload of patients who may have complex presentations, and maintain own records as an autonomous practitioner. This will include treating a variety of acute and chronic pain patterns, significant impairments due to pain or injury, psychological issues and post-operative rehabilitation.

To take an active role in the teaching and supervision of junior staff, assistants and students

Running Rehabilitation Classes in the Gym

To deputise for the Team Leader as necessary

Person specification

Qualification

Essential criteria
  • Degree in Physiotherapy or Osteopathy
  • HCPC/General Osteopathic Council Registration
  • Attendance of relevant post graduate courses
Desirable criteria
  • Masters level qualification or equivalent experience

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Post-graduate MSK experience
  • Completed junior/senior rotations/experience of working in a variety of healthcare settings
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of supervision (juniors, assistants, students)

Skills and Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Excellent clinical reasoning in MSK setting
  • Evidence of audit/research skills
  • Committed to personal/team development
  • Knowledge of assessment and management of MSK conditions
  • Able to develop a good rapport and communicate with a variety of people
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of current NHS and local trust partnership issues

Other requirements

  • Flexibility to work / rotate between the clinical sites of Crawley and Horsham
