At Rye, Winchelsea and District Memorial Hospital we offer outpatients, rehabilitation and intermediate services. At Uckfield Community Hospital we provide day surgery and outpatient care.
In the community, we deliver services that focus on people with long term conditions living well outside hospital, through our integrated locality teams working with district and community nursing teams. Community members of staff also provide care to patients in their homes and from a number of clinics, health centres and GP surgeries.
Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Administrator to join our busy team at Sussex Premier Health. The successful applicant will be based at the trust’s private hospital in Hastings.
Sussex Premier Health offers bespoke inpatient and outpatient services, providing an excellent level of care and attention to each and every patient. We have a friendly team of staff who aim to support and encourage career development within the role. We also have our own private kitchen, bistro and car park (permit required).
Main duties of the job
Ensure efficient and accurate inputting of patient billing, checking correct coding is used.
Provide a well-rounded credit control service for private patients.
Ability to resolve patient and departmental queries in a professional and timely manner.
Allocate trust, patient and insurance payments and refunds accurately.
Liaising with all departments of the private hospital.

Essential criteria
- Good general level of education including GCSE in English and Maths
Desirable criteria
- Advanced diploma in Accounting – level 3 (AAT) or currently studying at this level
Experience

- Previous experience of working in sales ledger section within the NHS or similar large complex organisation

- NHS finance experience
