Job overview

An opportunity has arisen for a Full time Dental Support worker post at City Health Dental in Beverley. The post holder will be responsible for the effective running of a busy Dental Reception under the Guidance of a Lead Nurse. 

Main duties of the job

Duties will include, Making appointments, using translation services, handling cash transactions, contact with patients via the phone and emails, The applicant will be resilient, and well organized and have the ability to work under pressure in a busy practice, on some occasions working in decontamination areas with instrument's. The ideal candidate would need be able to work under pressure, Display resilience, have excellent written and verbal communication, IT skills, and a great team player who enjoys communicating well with patients.

  • NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care or able to demonstrate equivalent level of experience

Knowledge

  • Keyboard skills
  • Good interpersonal skills including good communication both verbally and in writing
  • Basic knowledge of IT packages i.e. word, email
  • Able to understand the importance of confidentiality
