Do you enjoy helping patients and working in a fast paced environment, if so this could be the role for you. Candidates will need to be organised, able to solve problems and work to tight deadlines, whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable nature are essential for this role as you will have lots of contact with patients.
You will be the first point of contact for our patients either face to face or on the telephone. You will work collaboratively with the practice team to meet the needs of patients, nurses and GPs. The hours of work can be discussed.

The main duties of the role will include -
- To provide administrative support to and contribute to the planning and development of the department as a member of the team
- To greet patients at reception, deal with telephone enquiries from patients regarding appointments and input data into administration systems, so excellent keyboard skills are required.
The practice operates between 08:00-18:00 Monday to Friday but a degree of flexibility to cover is expected to cover for annual leave / sickness.
The role is varied and highly demanding, requiring a person with exceptional organisational ability and able to work under pressure while providing a positive and responsive professionalism on behalf of the practice

Qualifications and Knowledge
Meini prawf hanfodol
- Standard keyboard skills e.g. RSA2, ECDL or demonstrable experience
- 2 GCSEs/O levels English and Maths
- To have some knowledge of office procedures, clerical/reception work

- NVQ2 or equivalent experiential learning
- Knowledge of a range of work procedures and practices within Primary Care setting
Experience

- Knowledge of IT systems (including microsoft packages)
- Experience of working with the general public
