Job overview

We are looking for an Administrator to join our Plastic Surgery Waiting List Team. The role will be based at Castle Hill Hospital with the working hours being 12:00pm to 5:00pm, Wednesday - Friday.

As an Administrator, you will support the administration team to help manage the end to end clinical administrative processes associated to the patient pathways, ensuring a smooth and efficient service for both the multidisciplinary team and patients, in order to deliver a high quality administration service, for our patients.

Main duties of the job

Our Administrators play a vital role in the delivery of patient care via the management of the patients end-to-end pathway and supporting the wider team.

As part of the Plastic Surgery Waiting List team, you will be an important part of the theatre booking team and your main roles and responsibilities would include, but is not limited to:

  • Supporting the team in logging waiting list forms to help enhance the booking process
  • Using 'Patients Know Best' to send questionnaires to aide the booking of pre-assessments
  • Assisting in the funding process through 'Check+' to ensure all procedures are funded by the ICB as necessary 

With a starting salary of £22,383 per annum/pro rata, with a generous NHS pension scheme and a fantastic annual leave package (27 days annual leave pro rata, plus bank holidays) and offer excellent  opportunities to progress within clinical administration.

Although previous administration experience would be helpful, we are first and foremost looking for individuals with a passion to work in a health care setting and those with a 'can do' attitude. Candidates should possess the following skills;

  • Good standard of general education to GCSE level or equivalent, including Maths and English Language
