Senior Occupational Therapist (band 6) - Hands and Rheumatology

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic  Occupational Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team. You will work alongside therapy colleagues to provide a high quality specialist occupational therapy service to Hand Therapy and Rheumatology Outpatient Departments within the Hull University Teaching Hospitals Trust.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic person to gain experience working as a senior occupational therapist in the Hand Therapy and Rheumatology service. The post would suit a band 5 occupational therapist who has completed their core rotations and feels ready for the challenge of a senior post and has an interest in the specialism Hands Therapy and Rheumatology.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

You will be involved in providing high quality Occupational and Hand Therapy to a diverse and interesting case mix. It is desirable to have a good knowledge of anatomy, physiology and awareness of long term health conditions. Possession of splinting skills would be advantageous, although training will be given.

Working an as active member of the multidisciplinary team you will develop expertise and advanced clinical skills in hand rehab, including splinting skills and managing long term health conditions. The service is continuing to develop and you would be expected to be an active participant in that development.

We are seeking people who can adapt to changing and challenging environment and work in an acute setting, demonstrating strong prioritisation, delegation and time management skills. You will need strong communication skills both written and verbal.
