An exciting opportunity for the post of Support, Time & Recovery (STR) Worker which has become available at the Department of Psychological Medicine.
Previous experience of working within Psychological Medicine would be advantageous as would a previous roles of working within Mental Health Service along with a flexible, innovative and person-centred approach to practice.
You will be responsible for providing care to service users (Adults of all ages) and carers living in the community or community settings such as residential homes, experiencing or recovering from mental health difficulties.
You will work within a multi-professional setting to support and assist care co-ordinators to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care plans for patient's on your caseload.
The expectation is that you will aim to establish therapeutic relationships within which to address recovery goals to enable and empower individuals to access opportunities to a range of local community resources and services which may help to promote their recovery.

To provide support to service users with mental health needs by promoting a Recovery Model of Care by providing support, directly and flexibly.
To work directly with service users, on an individual and/or group basis.
To assist and support care coordinators and lead professionals to provide treatment and support.
To work across boundaries of care focusing on the specific needs of service users in accordance with their care plans, working in partnership with the individual and their care team.
The post holder will promote assist with basic practical tasks, promote independence, signpost into local organisations in an attempt to develop and encourage links within the local community .
