This is an exciting time for the Hull 0-19 service, with opportunities to influence and innovate as we work towards an ambitious plan to enhance the current service with a new service specification awarded to Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust.

We are looking to recruit to a number of Health Visiting posts - which will be based across a variety of locations in Hull. We can offer full or part-time working patterns alongside a supportive preceptorship and orientation programmes.

Applicants are required to be committed to providing the best possible service to children, young people and families. They should demonstrate willingness to develop and maintain integrated services.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a 0-5 year caseload, with an emphasis on continuity of care and support where appropriate, assessing health needs of the local population and care planning to meet need as per the revised Healthy Child Programme - Universal, Targeted and Specialist pathways of care.

We are looking for motivated applicants with initiative and drive to further develop the newly commissioned 0-19 service in Hull.

Qualifications

  • Current registration on the NMC register
  • Professional qualification in Specialist Community Public Health Nursing
  • To be on the live register of mentors

  • Leadership
  • Teaching qualification or equivalent presentation skills/training experience
  • Hold a recognised non-medical prescribing qualification

Experience

  • Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD) relevant to the clinical area at a specialist level of care
  • Experience of multi-agency working
  • Experience of case load management within Children’s Services
  • Evidence of analysing and implementing evidence based and best practice

Knowledge

  • Full understanding of relevant policy, legislation and guidance relevant to clinical area, e.g. Children, Young People and their families
  • Full understanding of relevant clinical practice/standards within identified clinical area
