Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

  • To provide care across the interdisciplinary team providing advice on managing the patients' functional ability and guide discharge planning
  • To carry out assessment and treatments of a range of MSK conditions 
  • Demonstrate leadership around individualised goal setting by allowing patients to work towards fulfilling their potential in a targeted and realistic way.
  • To undertake a comprehensive assessment of patients including those with diverse or complex presentations and to use clinical reasoning skills and manual assessment techniques to provide an accurate diagnosis of their condition
  • To accept responsibility for a designated caseload of patients and to organise this effectively and efficiently with regard to clinical priorities and use of time.

Qualifications and Knowledge

Meini prawf hanfodol
  • Diploma or Degree in Physiotherapy
  • State Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council
  • A broad understanding of relevant policy, legislation drivers and their application to clinical and service areas
  • Knowledge of physiotherapy models of practice, standardised assessments, and their use

  • Full understanding/application of relevant clinical practice/standards/audit within identified clinical area

Experience

  • Can demonstrate clinical skills encompassing the core areas of exercise therapy, management of pain relief, mobility training and therapeutic handling
  • Ability to manage own caseload and prioritise workload pressures

  • Evidence of specialist practice skills and able to demonstrate the impact of this on practice change/development
