Job overview
To provide a consistent and professional admin and scanning service throughout EPUT using Unified Patient Record (UEPR)
This is a Fixed Term post till 31/3/2025 ( with a possibility of extending)
Main duties of the job
To request and collect patients paperwork and help prepare for scanning
To electronically upload documents into the EPR system
To assist in providing a consistently high standard of scanning to enable clinicians and other healthcare professionals access to accurate, up to date and timely electronic data regarding their patients
To quality assure both scanned and electronically uploaded documents

What is Staff Bank?
Our EPUT NHS staff bank is an entity managed by the trust that hires clinical and non-clinical healthcare professionals to take on shifts at our trust hospitals and community settings. Here at EPUT we maintain our own bank of specialist staff to ensure that we are able offer safe and effective care at all times.
All our permanent staff are automatically enrolled onto the staff bank however this does not mean you have to work any additional shifts, but the option is there for you if you wish.
If you are joining our Trust in a fixed term role, please indicate on your New Starter Paperwork that you wish to join our staff bank.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
- Collect and help prepare patient paperwork for scanning in accordance with documented procedures.
- Pages should be prepared thoroughly to ensure that there is no interruption in the scanning process
- Scan paperwork in accordance with the scanning procedure
- Upload electronic documents into the EPR ensuring correct patient and
- To quality check scanned and electronic uploading documents and records QA sheets
- To make basic decisions and organise your daily work tasks
- To ensure at all time the work is in alignment to the needs of BS10008
- To travel to other sites when required to cover for annual leave and sickness
