We're looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a supervisor and help drive change across our friendly and hardworking department.
Working within the MSE Domestic Services Team, you will have access to the best in class training in this field which will enable you to develop your skillset. and have the opportunity to implement improvements that will enhance our patients' experiences, inspire staff to be the best they can be and also have access to the best in class training in this field which will also enable you to develop your skillset.
If successful, you will become part of a hard working, determined and forward thinking team, supporting in driving efficiencies across the trust within Domestic Services to ensure the best patient experience is provided at all times.
Main duties of the job
Your role will be to participate and control all aspects of the Domestic Departments Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and support the total domestic operational service delivery model by ensuring that works are carried out by Domestic staffs to their job specifications. You will be required to monitor quality services are being provided at all times whilst promoting good business relationships between Management and Staff and supporting the patient experience.
Participating in a 7 day week management rota as scheduled and approved by management and have an understanding of Domestic Service Level Agreements between the Estates & Facilities Business unit, wards, departments and satellite buildings to ensure services are delivered accordingly and in a cost effective manner.
You will be managing a diverse team and resolving any team related issues and be responsible for ensuring that all staff maintain a clean and safe environment for all patients, visitors and staff members.

Experience
Essential criteria
- Demonstrable cleaning and supervisory experience in the NHS
Desirable criteria
- Previous NHS experience within cleaning services
Qualifications
Essential criteria
- NVQ level 3 cleaning or equivalent
Desirable criteria
- Trained to British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc)
Applicant requirements
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
