Our Outpatients Call Centre, based at Basildon Centre, St Martins Square offices are on the second floor of the building which is situated in the Town Centre of Basildon.

Main duties of the job

As part of the central booking team, you will be responsible for booking both new and follow up appointments across Basildon, Broomfield and Southend.

●        Is passionate about patient experience 

●        Enjoys interacting with patients

●        Confident at reading and responding to emails and has basic IT       skills

●        Is accurate and methodical when following set processes

●        Has good organisational skills

●        Good stakeholder management

●        Enjoys working as a team working and collaboration

●        Confident with holding phone conversations with members of            the public

●        Strong customer service skills

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • GCSE Maths and English or NVQ level 2 clerical or equivalent experience

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Demonstrable experience in customer / patient focused role
  • Experience of working in a busy, pressurised customer focussed environment
Desirable criteria
  • NHS experience
  • Experience in use of PAS Careflow and the electronic Referral Service

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Computer literate - able to use Microsoft Packages effectively
  • Good written communication skills demonstrated through application form
