Are you an inspirational Senior Children’s Nurse wishing to join a new team?

Are you an adult trained experienced  Senior A&E Nurse at band 7 with extensive Children's A&E experience?

We are looking for a Band 7 Charge Nurse to join our Children’s Emergency Department team. You need to be highly motivated and able to deliver a high standard of nursing care.

So, if you want to be a key player in driving forward positive change for emergency paediatric care, then we want to hear from you today! 

Main duties of the job

Our Children’s Emergency Department is well established it is purpose built with a co-located Paediatric Assessment Unit which opened in 2015 and is operational 24hrs a day 7 days a week.

We offer exciting opportunities  for career development within our service for all grades of staff. We have a robust education and training programme provided by our Clinical Practice Facilitators. You will be joining an existing dedicated and experienced senior nursing team. 

We are looking to expand our current band 7 team in the Children Emergency Department and we welcome applicants with experience at band 6 or 7 in Children's A&E, a Paediatric Assessment Unit, or senior nurse band 7 with an adult A&E background with extensive children's A&E experience.   • Strong previous experience in Childrens A&E nursing / PAU / equivalent experience
  • APLS/ EPLS trained

  • A&E Nursing Course
  • Advanced Assessment Skills Course
