For MSE internal applicants, this will a one year secondment with thier line managers approval.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our well-established MDT Patient Pathway Co-ordinator team within Cancer Services at Mid Essex Hospitals NHS Trust.
Working with our existing MDT Co-ordinators we are looking to add to our existing team to provide full support in all aspects of this role and to provide MDT Co-ordinator cover across all tumour groups.
Within this you will be responsible for data collection and input, facilitating MDT meetings and tracking patients referred to the Trust with a suspected and confirmed cancer diagnosis.
You will work closely with the Clinical Nurse Specialists and the Multi-Disciplinary Teams within a specialty as well as the rest of the Cancer Services Team.
We are looking for someone with excellent organisational and communication skills both written and oral and who can prioritise their workload and meet deadlines.
Main duties of the job
The MDT Co-Ordinator & Pathway Tracker will have the following roles:-
To support the implementation of the NHS Cancer Plan by providing dedicated and effective administrative support to Waiting list/MDT Managers.
Work with the Waiting List/MDT Managers to provide administrative functions to facilitate the delivery of a high quality of care for all cancer patients.
Ensure all PTL proformas are effectively and accurately completed.
Ensure appropriate cover for MDT meetings for annual leave and sickness.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
For full details of this interesting role, please see attached job description, but responsibilities include:
Managing the tumour site specific PTL proformas ensuring data is captured and reflected accurately for weekly PTL meetings.
Provide cross cover for MDT Meetings as required by the Cancer Waiting Times Manager in periods of sickness, annual leave and any other absences.
Work with the Cancer Services team who will lead on pathway and process development to ensure accurate and complete data is recorded for ALL cancer patients.
The role requires a close relationship with the Cancer Waiting List Manager to ensure all patients pathways are actively monitored to prevent patients breaching their Cancer Waiting Time Targets.

- ECDL
- Experience in acute healthcare environment

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
