Are you a registered nurse looking to develop your knowledge, skills and career within the field of Liver Disease?

Then we have a fantastic opportunity for you, we are looking for an experienced registered nurse with a specific interest in liver disease and also alcohol dependency/drug abuse to join our friendly and knowledgeable team. 

You will be supported as you broaden your skillset and knowledge around this interesting area of medicine, while working collaboratively with colleagues across the Trust and in the community to ensure all our patients receive the expert care they deserve.

Main duties of the job

  • Integral member of the Liver /Gastroenterology multi-disciplinary team providing expert knowledge and care to patients in hospital and in the community.
  • Provide excellent, evidence based, clinical nursing practice in Gastroenterology/Liver disease
  • To undertake diagnostic tests within the field of liver disease
  • To act as a resource to the Trust and Primary Health care setting

  • NMC Registration
Desirable criteria
  • Special Interest in Hepatology
  • Post basic certificate area of specialty such as Liver / Gastroenterology / Addiction

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Demonstrable experience in acute clinical environment at a Band 5 level
Desirable criteria
  • Previous experience of working in Hepatology / gastroenterology
