Job overview

Mid Essex Sterile Supplies Department is a friendly and fast paced Unit supplying the Trust Theatre complex and other areas with sterile packs and instruments.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for highly motivated and proactive individuals to join the team who are methodical and meticulous to detail, to wash, inspect, pack and sterilise surgical instruments ensuring the best decontamination service for our customers and patients.

Main duties of the job

The Sterile Services Department based at Broomfield Hospital is open 24 hours (Monday to Friday) and 8:00am to 4:00pm on a Saturday, 
Sunday and Bank Holidays.

You will be required to work on a rota basis with shifts between 
the above hours (Monday to Friday), Bank Holidays and Weekends and night shifts. These hours are subject to change to meet the needs of the Trust.

You are required to be able to demonstrate the Trust values, the responsibilities of the job description and person specification. Experience is an advantage however this is not essential. You must be able to follow processes and instruction while being self-motivated and showing initiative.
