Job overview

Working Well is commissioned by Essex County Council and sits within the Essex Wellbeing Service.  This fast paced, innovative programme supports the national and local agenda around workplace health,  wellbeing and health inequalities, ensuring that the Essex workforce is healthy and productive.

 This new, specialist role requires experience and knowledge of setting up, promoting and running Workplace Wellbeing Events, including NHS Health Checks and Smoking Support programmes.  The new outreach team will increase the recruitment of workplaces to the Essex Working Well programme.

 

Main duties of the job

The post holder will also be responsible for managing a team of health practitioners, setting up managing data capture and reporting, to meet a range of health and lifestyle outcomes.

The role will require excellent, project management, communication and IT skills, with experience of a wide range of software packages.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

·       Liaise with the Working Well Manager to ensure efficient and effective allocation of team resources using an asset based approach

·       Support the Working Well Manager to develop policies and procedures

·       Map and identify and target key businesses and localities across Essex for Wellbeing events

·       Develop and maintain an ongoing calendar of Workplace Wellbeing Events, with a range of partner organisations that will promote and increase the access to the service, with a focus of reducing health inequalities

·       Providing input and support to other members of the team to promote the service

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Degree /NVQ L6 or demonstrable experience in workplace health project management, community development

Circumstances

Essential criteria
  • Car owner/driver and ability to the drive Provide CIC Mobile Outreach vehicles

Skills and aptitudes

Essential criteria
  • Proactive in working collaboratively to achieve service outcomes
  • Demonstrable experience of using a wide range of IT packages: including Microsoft products, survey packages etc
  • Ability to audit, analyse and interpret data for optiminal resource allocation

Work related knowledge

Essential criteria
  • NCSCT Advisor training and NHS Health Check training or willingness to complete
  • Experience of delivering presentations at networking or business meetings
  • Demonstrable experience of managing key accounts management
  • Demonstrable experience in community event management
Desirable criteria
  • Understanding assets and health and safety regulations for NHS Health Checks and Smoking Support
