We are looking for a highly motivated, dedicated customer focused individual to join our team on Peldon Ward, our Care of the Elderly Ward. 

You will actively participate as a full member of the team, assisting with the smooth running of the ward by managing the reception and administrative functions in a timely, effective and efficient way alongside Doctors, Nurses and Healthcare Assistants.

You will ideally have a friendly manner, be hard working and highly motivated with good customer service skills.

The hours for this post will be on Thursday and Friday 8am - 4pm 

This is a fixed term post until 31st December 2025

Internal applicants currently employed by ESNEFT will be offered on a secondment basis only 

Main duties of the job

Your duties will include admission and discharge of patients on Lorenzo and Evolve computer systems, booking of appointments and filing of notes, answering phones and liaising with multidisciplinary teams/departments across the trust.

You should be able to work autonomously, be able to prioritise your workload and to work well within a team. You will have the ability to communicate effectively with members of the public, both face-to-face and over the phone.

It would be beneficial to have NHS experience and possess excellent IT and clerical skills. You will be dealing with the staff and general public so it is paramount that you have good people skills. Working hours will be varied, so you must be flexible.
